What the job actually involves
A proper blowout is not one pass. The technician isolates the supply, connects at the backflow or a dedicated blowout port, then runs each zone individually until the head spray turns to mist and then to nothing. Zones get a second short pass at the end, because water beads back into the low points of a lateral after the air stops moving. On a typical Tri-Cities residential system this takes twenty to forty minutes.
